“The Blushin’ Roulettes deliver old-time tunes with a modern twist. Songwriter/guitaress/banjo-picker Angie Rose Heimann writes earthy Americana folk songs and sagas of damsels in their bliss and distress in a stirringly delicate alto tinged with vibrato. The San Francisco Free Folk Festival called her songs “stripped down, sexy little jewel boxes stuffed with ancient mountain magic.” Themes include love and loss, wildness and domestication, and deepening the well within while while rooting into life with family, community and the natural world. The band's August 8 lineup will include a talented cast of local musicians- Raffaele Cataldo on fiddle, Blake Tallman on drums, and a possible surprise guest on harmony.”

Local legend Will Stenberg is coming back to town for a special performance with Portland-based supergroup Western Automatic Music, Inc. Also on the bill will be Queer Country and Angie Heimann of the Blushin' Roulettes, making for a night of unforgettable music.

Join us for a night of two amazing songwriters and storytellers, Caroline Cotter (on tour from Maine) and Angie Heimann (local favorite and member of the Blushin’ Roulettes.

Caroline’s Cotter’s sunlit songs honor the countless ways of being human. With her honeyed voice and disarmingly honest lyrics, Cotter sings about connection, nostalgia, gratitude, loss and wanderlust. Lyrics like, “Find me somewhere out on the road / Take me into your heart and into your home,” make perfect sense from a touring artist who has played over 1000 shows in 45 states and 16 countries. She has performed at churches, art galleries, barns, yoga studios, punk bars, Parisian living rooms and even a schooner off the coast of Maine. Everywhere she goes, her oracular songs elicit emotion and spark insight—medicine for our collective longing.
